1. The Council meets every two weeks.
2. The Council reports to Community Living Thunder Bay Senior team on a monthly basis.
3. The Council has a representative on the Community Living Thunder Bay Board of Directors.
4. The Council presents to community groups and provides information for all people and staff in Thunder Bay on request.
5. The Council advocates for people rights.
6. The Council is involved in advising people of their rights and address any issues they may have.
7. The Council responds to issues and concerns raised by individual self advocates. (Example: community services, student issues, etc.)
8. The Council supports individuals to participate in the staff selection process.
9. The Council is responsible for assisting with interviewing and training new staff.
10.The Council is responsible for finding various funding sources and initiatives in order to cover their operating costs
